Agents

Note: Only admins can create and manage agents.

In the Brevian app, an agent is a customizable program that lets users interact with specific knowledge sources using language-based prompts, similar to creating a custom GPT. An agent can be configured to connect to particular data sources, enabling tailored, context-aware responses.

  • For example, you can create an agent that focuses on sales enablement by centralizing playbooks and sales materials, to quickly answer questions about pricing, presentations, or processes.

Note: Brevian offers default agents that are pre-populated with information pulled from synced CRMs and from topics discussed in meetings with Brevian.

Create an agent

  1. In the Brevian app, go to Agent.
  2. Select New Agent.
  3. Enter a Name and Description, and then select Save.
    • (Optional) Select Set as default meeting agent if you want to primarily use this agent in meetings.
    • Internally, these agents are called meeting agents.
    • Brevian recommends that you contact your account manager when configuring and launching your initial meeting agent.
  4. (Optional) Customize your newly created agent, and then select Save at the top of the section.
    • Review the sections below to learn how to customize your agent.

Knowledge Base

To enable an agent to reference your company’s resources, you must add a knowledge base to it. The agent uses this knowledge base to surface relevant product information during meetings.

  • This same logic applies when using a chat-related function, such as using the Chat section in the Brevian app or if you've configured an agent to be used as a chatbot in Slack.

To add a knowledge base:

  1. Select + Add.
  2. Select the desired knowledge base.
    • The agent will reference this knowledge base when assisting you in meetings or with other Brevian features.
    • You can add multiple knowledge bases, which means you can combine data from multiple sources into a single agent.
  3. After you've added the knowledge base, the Knowledge Base section will update with the following information:
FieldDescription
NameThe name of the knowledge base.
Last SyncedIndicates when the knowledge base was last manually synced.

Currently, automated syncing is not supported.
TypeIndicates where the knowledge base is hosted, such as Confluence, Google Drive, or Local.
StatusIndicates if the knowledge base is Ready or Syncing.

Syncing indicates that a knowledge base is actively being uploaded to the Brevian app.
OwnerThe Brevian user who uploaded the file.

All responses you give should be answered with that lens - this means provide factual answers and then an explanation of 'Why Brevian' in each answer. Always provide citations and quotes from transcripts where applicable. Always give an overview before giving details. Break up the answer into consumable sections and organize the flow for learning. Format answers in headings and bullets.

Respond in a professional tone that is appropriate for business meetings.

ConnectorsIntegrate this agent as a chatbot into your Slack environment.

You and your team can engage with the agent based on the configured settings and associated knowledge base.

For example, you can create a release agent that is configured for information about a recent release. Then in your company's Slack channel, your team can interact with the agent to learn more about the release.
